I’m looking to get one of these coralife needle wheel skimmers 125 GAL model. The specifications say that this thing is 24” high. The problem is that I only have 26” clearance inside my tank stand. Does this 24” include the collection cup? Will I have enough room to be able to take the collection cup off?? Thanks

the measurement does include the cup and you only need about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch to remove cup , so you should be fine.

Here is another question for those of you who have this skimmer
I was looking at the instructions for the 65 (they didn’t have a 125, which is the one I want to get) and it said that the pump should not be submerged more that 3-4”. I am assuming that the 125 has a similar spec. My question is, is the height of the pump adjustable. I am planning on having about 8.5” in the skimmer area of my sump. I only have about 26” total clearance in my stand so building a platform for the skimmer is out of the question.
If the skimmer is hung on the side of the sump tank, what is the total height of the skimmer starting from the bottom of the sump tank.

I am running a CSS 220 in my sump, you can cut the length of the tubing connecting the pum to the skimmer to adjust the pump height, although I have mine sitting in about 6.5 " and have never had a problem with it.

I have the 125, I keep the pump about 2" below waterline due to restrictions within my sump. However, this does not affect performance to any degree.
