What exactly do Peppermint shrimp do? I guess I mistakenly thought they were the "cleaner" variety, I have 6 of them, plus an assortment of Red Leg Hermits. I bought two feather dusters and within an hour, my emerald crab was tearing the tube apart and started munching on the worm. And the peppermint shrimp started tearing at the feather on the other one.
My LFS expert said it may be because they are hungry, but I assume you didn't have to target feed them because they feed on the leftover bring and flake from the feeding of my fish.
He said add in zoo plankton every other day, but use sparingly!
What is sparingly and was that a good idea?
I have a 35 gallon - prizm skimmer, Mill. 1000 filter, LR, LS, 1 mandarin goby, 1 maroon clown, 1 Bi color Blenny.
Thanks,
Jim
