So I've been noticing some hair algae starting to accumilate on some of the larger pieces of aragonite in my sand bed. Checked nitrates and they are about 15 ...which usually is what they are at...i haven't intruduced anything new to the tank in months. my question is can hair algae pop up from extra nutrients and higher output lighting? those are the only changes i've made in the past month.
