Question about live rock

I have about 30 to 40 lbs of live rock that has been in a plastic tub now for about 3 months and had no water in it. Most of the rocks are bleached except for one that still has some purple coraline on it. It does not smell at all. I just upgraded to a 90 gallon and would like to use this rock. Should I cure this in a tub with saltwater and powerhead or can I just gradually add it back to my tank.I did a search for curing rock and it says if it doesnt smell bad than it is ok to use.Is this correct ? Any help would be appreciated.

if you have nothing in the tank you could add it. if it has been sitting out of water for 3 months i dont know how much luck your going to have with it, im guessing why it doesnt smell is because it has been out for so long and most of it is dead.

It is certianly dead. I would rinse it in some new water and just use it. The coraline you are seeing is dead. It can not live out of water. You are probably going to want to buy a good piece of LR to seed your dead stuff.

Yeah I second that! The live rock is no longer alive and will be ok to add to your system, just wash it first with water.....

Thanks to all that responded. I do have about 100lbs of live rock already in the tank that is around 2 - 3 years old.
