question about live rock

im starting a new 24g tank after my 5g began to leak. the live rock from my old tank has dried out and i was wondering what i could do with it. is it useless now that its dried out or can it be of some use to my new aquarium

It would be fine for base rock and will become live again in time. I would give it a good scrubbing first before puttting it in.
