question about live rock

I have my tank up for 6 months now and nothing is growing on my live rock what could it be.Is there anything that i could do or add to make things grow.

If you want coraline algae to grow on your rock. It needs to be introduced to the tank and have your calcium between 400-450. I'm not sure what else you want to grow from your rocks. Unless you buy other inverts there may not be any sponge or feather duster hitchhikers.

I have used Purple Up in my new tank... I have grown purple, pink and green in just a week. It works great. It makes ur water cloudy for about 4 hours but other than that I love it.

Personally I would not add anything that I can't test for.
Purple up has it's horror stories too. It has crashed some tanks on here.

I agree. Your calcium fine at 420. I would go to your LFS and try to find a small piece of LR with Coraline growing on it and add it too your tank.
