Hi everyone. Newbie with a couple of questions here. I've attached a picture of my Mushrooms and Zoos. First question is how do I keep my Zoos from growing into my Mushrooms? How do I control the Zoos, I like them, but I really love my Mushrooms and want them to be able to spread out.
Second question, would the type of Mushroom I have take a spot feeding, it seems to be doing great on its on, but have heard that they benifit from spot feedings? If they should be spot fed, how often and with what?
And any advice or info you can offer on the Mushrooms is greatly appreciated.
Thanks again, James

James, welcome to the boards. Good picture of the mushrooms, and zoos...
You can't really contain zoo's, or mushrooms. Unless you have them on seperate rocks with space between them, no touching rocks for them to travel on. But, don't worry they will coexist just fine.
As far as feeding the shrooms, I have never spot fed any of my mushrooms, and I have plenty. They get all they need from the water, flow, and lighting. If they like your tank they will multiply quite nicely....both the zoo's and mushrooms. Good luck with them both.
Here is an example of some of my mushrooms. I will try to get another pic of my zoo's, they are happy with loads of shrooms around them now, this pix was taken last year and much has grown since then.

Very nice! Thanks for the input. By any chance do you have any pictures of what a mushroom would look like if it started to split? I just notice today that my biggest one's foot or base has developed a hole in it, wondering if it is starting to split?
Thanks
