Question about Nano Cube???

I'm considering buying one of these nano cubes in the deluxe model, My question is regarding the lighting. It comes with 2x 24W 50/50 PC bulbs in the attached hood, this doesn't seem like much and I was wondering what kind of coral would survive with these. I'm not really interested in keeping hard corals or anenomes. I had a 10g nano reef last yr but had to sell it because I moved. On that I had the coralife 96w quad hood and I kept shrooms, zoos, soft corals, gsp. Would this stuff survive under jus 2x 24 w PCs or should I go for a setup like my previous?? thanx :help: heres a pic of the tank and lights:

if you want to keep higher light requiring animals, you can retrofit a 96 watt pc light in there, ive seen it done before..because youre not going to be able to keep much with 24 watts..and only 12 watts is 10,000K spectrum.

shrooms, zoos and polyps should survive under 24W in a small tank but I would try and bump it up if I could.

If you want the hard corals to grow and reproduce, you probably want metal halide. They will live fine under less, but probably wont reproduce. Who knows, maybe you don't want them to reproduce in a nano :)

i think you all were reading it wrong it is 48 watts for the tank. Thats 4 wats per gallon so that is pleanty enough for most softies

Yes, superhero you are correct...there are 2 sets of 50/50 bulbs in the hood and each set is 24 total watts for a grand total of 48 watts for the whole 12 gallon tank, lol. I think people were confused. So is that enough for soft corals, zoos, polyps, shrooms.??? :notsure:

As said yes that is enough. Or you can get a metal halide that wouldnt be that mutch a 70watter would cost around $100 "including shipping" 1 bulb is all you need for that lol. That would keep any soft coral you wanted and if you ever decided you wanted to go up alittle bit it would be there.
