Question About Sand?

I know there are a lot of post right now about a DSB. When I statarted my tank I used argonite. It was not the fine but it is pretty fine. Is this what most prople use if you can not get any of the play sand?

thats what the playsand is, aragonite. I used aragonite from the fish store since i couldnt find southdown. More expensive but both serve the same purpose.

the actual grain size is very important for a dsb. whether its aragonite or not. are the grains of sand sugar sized or smaller? if not, you need to get something a bit finer or the dsb probably wont function properly.
