Question about soft coral growing in my tank

Oh boy... WE've been waiting for a pic thinking it would help, but to be honest... I haven't a clue.
I hate the "I don't know" posts, but I felt I had to say SOMETHING.

where it attaches under the rock there are these white blobs that look like idk what. just white blobs
