Question about sunflower

About 3 weeks ago i noticed a white shell started to grow what do you think it is? :thinking:

Interesting, mine has something kinda like that but much smaller. 2 of the heads have what looks just like that but only the size of a large grain of sand. I never thought about it til now. Has it been like that and you didnt notice or has that grown? Does that polyp still extend? How long have you had the sun?
Almost looks like a barnacle or something similar :help:

I've had this Sunflower for about 3 months. That was a hole with no polyp but
only the yellow skin.

Was there ever a healthy polyp there?

No, all it had was a hole in that one polyp & skin around it.

S o it grew over time and was smaller? Am i right it is sand or very small pieces of shell/rubble? Almost looks like a worm or something may be building :notsure:

Maybe your right, I guess I'll soon find out. I tried to get a closer shoot
it's not the best, still learning.

That pic definitelu makes me thing its some kind of worm or something else is building it. Have you ever seen something coming in or out of it? if not , watch it and see if you can
