I have a 40 Breeder tank that it's coming around that time to replace the 39W T5 Bulbs in one of my fixtures. I currently have 2 AcuaticLife fixtures hooked together for a combo of 4 bulbs.
I have 2 10K and 2 Actinic bulbs and the lighting looks ok on my tank. I would like to get that deeper blue color that seems to make coral pop and I was asking my local LFS about ATI bulbs. He recommended to drop the 10K bulbs all together and go with this combo:
Blue +
AquaBlue
Fiji Purple
Blue +
Can someone explain the benefits of moving away from the 10K daylight bulbs? I always thought corals needed that spectrum to grow but if not I would like to switch to the new bulbs above.
