I wouldn't have two yellow tangs in a 45, your just asking for trouble, and to add a hippo tang would be even worse. I would just keep one yellow tang in there for now and add some other stuff. I feel your pain i wan't to add a hippo too but can't, cause i already have a yellow in my 45, just not enough room:joy:

Your problem is you should have yellow tang in a 100 gallon or larger. Then, you should only have odd numbers (one, three, etc. . . ). I don't know why they fight when there are just two, it must be a territorial thing.

I was once told if you want to add tangs together try not to get two with the same shape. I have a purple and a hippo and they never fight. I had the purple with a yellow and they would fight....eventually lost the yellow. Since that I have tried to follow that rule of thumb...it's working for me so far.
