Question about tank/refugium

I just got a 90 gallon tank that had been set up for about 3 years, managed to keep the sand bed intact during the move, but the 20 gallon refugium wasn't as lucky. I am starting it over but was curious whether I should hook up the refugium to the main tank now or wait for it to cycle then hook it up. There is currently nothing but live rock in both tanks and a feather duster.

I would personally hook it up now, but honestly it doesn't matter either way.

I am not sure what you mean when you say "wait for it to cycle"?
If you hook it up, it is just going to attach to your current tank. Nothing will cycle because your main display is already cycled.

I thought he was expecting some die off from the move...maybe he is going to add some shrimp to ensure a cycle.
In any case, a spike will be very short and possibly nonexistent.

I was just worried that it could cause some spikes in my main tank because it is not cycled...I will just hook it up and hope the main tank can handle the load

itll be fine. I just moved my 210 with its refugium and had no cycle. replaced all the water in it the move. I was affraid that there would be a cycle. surprised nothing happened, even with the substrate being completely upset
