Question about timers

I recently purchased the coralife digital power center with 2 daytime and 2 nighttime outlets. The problem I have is the timer is set to auto like the directions say but the daytime actinics do not turn on. Does anyone have ideas about how this works or what timer I should purchase that does work.

I don't know if what your problem is has anything to do with the coralife power center or not, but the coralife power center has a bad reputation.
Most people after battling these devices end up buying ordinary lamp timers... they work better and when they break, you can just replace that one piece rather than an entire piece of equipment.

I have my mh plugged in the daytime ones. (yellow) And I have the actinics plugged in the black. I have them set to come on 1.5 hours before the mh bulbs and 1.5 hours after. The blue outlets come on when the actinics go off. This turns on my lunar lights and my fuge light. Seems to be a nice setup. I havent had any issues at all. Do your lights come on when you try to do it in manual. (by turning the dial?)

When I read the directions it says to set the timer for auto which I did and nothing happened. If I move it to on the blue actinics come on and stay on until I turn it off. After that the moon lights come on. My mh are on a different timer.

I agree with you on this, Quint.
I went through two of these things before I gave up on them and just bought regular $10 timers.

Do yourself a favor and get rid of this power strip. I had 1 for a while...nothing but problems. Get yourself a nice digital outdoor rated timer....It has 2 plugs on each timer. A few of those and you will be happy.

Thanks for the picture ifirefight, tomorrow I will go out and buy one. I will try and return my power strip back and hopefully get my money back.
