Question about Zoos

I just got some Fiji Polyps yesterday and I noticed while moving them around in the tank that part of the rock they were attached to was loose. While swaying the loose part of the rock I noticed a puff of red fluid shot out into the tank....Any idea what that is?

either the fluid from inside the polyp or a defence . i wouldnt worry.

I have a nice size of figi in my 55. I broke a piece on accident, and a thick milky white substance came out....didnt do anything wrong to tank, and never found out what it was.

does that mean that I can break the loose piece off and move it to another area of my tank without harming the polyps?
