question bout skimmer

I have the sv1 excalibur skimmer with the rio 800 pump.Only thing is its not really producing foam.I just started cylcling my tank yesterday.Should it build more foam?

Skimmers won't produce foam on new tanks due to a lack of organics.(DOC)
Some people would recommend you don't run skimmer untill late into the cycle.

Yup leave the skimmer off for the first 6 weeks.
