So I've opted to use an old 29G tank as a sump/fuge for my 125G. I know, it's not quite big enough, but I don't really need it for much other than housing some equipment and maybe some macroalgaes. I've never used a sump before and have never had any issues with nitrates or anything, but I thought it would be cool to do.
So the question is in regards to the overflow box. I see one at a popular site that sells to the highest...uh...person's offer... The overflow is rated at 1200GPH and it has a pump on the side to keep the bubbles out and maintain the siphon. So my question is about the value of this type of overflow. It's going for $40 right now but they want like $20 just to ship it.
