Question for the moderators

I dont know if this is rude to ask but I am curious. Do the moderators get paid for moderating? You guys have to do alot so I hope you do. Just curious. If you do, is it your job or just something you do on the side. It seems to me like you are always online to answer questions.

No we do not get paid. The moderators here are fellow hobbyists that enjoy sharing information and are here to help and to make sure the rules are followed so other hobbyist can enjoy their time here.

I have a question for the moderators. How do you become a moderator if you don't mind me asking.

New moderators are selected and asked by the other moderators when there is a need. If admin doesn't object then they make them a mod.

Every how long do they pick new ones?
