No I do not use Midland tap water.
I use RO/DI water. No additives.

I don't think so. Sometimes I can smell the chlorine coming right out of the tap. Midland also has alot of brine wells around the county, alot of metals, and folks around here use tons of pestisides. Mind you we do have a great water treatment plant, but the tap water isn't as good as using RO/DI water.
With the amount of money invested in a Saltwater tank, I will use nothing less than RO water.
Go to the bulk food section of Meijers and use the RO water from the two machines they have, its 29 cents per gallon for refills. I use 5 gallon water bottles when I go.
If you make your own coffee like I do then use it for that too, makes great coffee, much smoother than using tap water. I'm pretty much a coffee snob, grind my own beans and everything.
