Question on adding one more fish to my 20 gallon tank...

Hi. I have a 20 gallon tank that includes 2 clown fish, 1 yellow watchmen golbi, 1 tiger pistol shrimp and 4 snails. I'm planning to purchase an "anemone" really soon for my clown fish. Is it ok to add one more fish?? I was thinking of purchasing a "lemonpeel angel fish". Will that be to much?

Hi, an anemone in that size tank could be hard to keep. What kind of lighting do you have? I wouldn't add another fish unless it was a dottyback or simular to that size. an Angelfish (I love lemonpeels, they are my favorite after seahorses) need a 30g tank at least and lots of rock to swim in and around in.
Anemones are opportunist feeders, they sting and/or eat whatever is stupid enough to get too close. In a 20g there isn't much room to get out of it's way. The shrimp and goby could go MIA...there is no guarantee the clowns will take to the anemone...I would pass on it if were my tank.
Oh and if you need more cleaning...you can always add snails. I had 65 in my 30g long. 4 seems a bit low for a 20g. If they do the job your fine, but if you do find you need some more cleaners...feel free to add them you won't do any harm.

For the lighting I have 2 of "Aquarium Equipment Model 24RFH 17W" that is what it says lol sorry.
Ok, I just love the Lemonpeel Angel fish it is so pretty and I truly want another fish. I wanted to purchase the anemone for my clown fish buddies because I thought it was important for them to have.
Also, I want to add color to my tank but don't want to over do it. What can I add for more color?
My snails actually do a good job

Hi, the light is no where near strong enough to keep an anemone, to add some nice coler...try mushroom corals, they are beautiful, colorful and they don't require much light or care. The metalic stripe green and the true blues are a personal favorite.
No the clowns have no real NEED to have to have an anemone.
Oh and you can add a Royal Gramma OR a purple/orchid dottyback, you can't add both because they will fight but they have BEAUTIFUL eye popping color.
