Question on algae

Can I feed the algae I scrape off my glass (lid/top) to my fish?

uhhhh why would you? i mean drop it in the tank and see if anyone wants it, but i would think ICKY.....

Well, cuz it's algae. Some did drop in and I didn't know if it would be bad for them...
It almost seems like a waste to scrape if off and do away with it...
btw - love your poochie looking out! I have a Yorkie, a mini Doxie and a Pug!

Thanks. Didn't know if it would be too salty or concentrated or crappy for them...

My flame angel sometimes eats algae growing on the back wall, I usually leave him a bit to nip on, or scrape some extra off and let it float around awhile for him to eat, if he doesn't take it the CUC finishes it off later

Oh yeah, a lot of my "critters" eat it off the LR or the back wall, but didn't know about the glass cover (on top)...

If its true algae, OK; but often, the gunk on glass is primarily diatoms.

I am not an algae control engineer but rather an aerospace engineer.

ohhhh, didn't notice the part about it being off the lid. Depending on your flow setup I would think that's also going to be a lot of salt spray which you definitely do not want the fish eating...
