Well i found my blue hippo stuck to my fan. Well i pulled him off and now hes acting all funny. Like lying in my rock in weird spots. I mean he is still swiming in the rock but will not come out and looks like he is being sluggish. Just wondering if this is normal or is he about to die? He just looks scared This is the first time i have had a hippo tang. I have had him for about 3 weeks and everything was normal untill i found him stuck to my fan.
Thanks

Give him a day or two to snap out of it. I'm sure he's a little stressed out right now. If he isn't dead already then he'll probably come back around.

Nah hes not dead, He is just kinda lying around and hiding in the rocks. I mean just saw him pick at the rock, so it looks like he is still feeding.

The Hippos I have had have always acted a little screwy at times. They really are rather comical fish. One of mine would lay on the bottom, I can't tell you how many times I would think she was dead only to have her pop up and swim away or the little one that would relentlessly work to get into my overflow and ride through my filter, it I didn't see her, time to check the sump!
However, a healthy tang wouldn't be "stuck" to anything. If the fish was "stuck" it was most likely having some problems with something prior to this.
What are your water parameters? How big is the tank? The fish? What other inhabitants?

I was gonna ask that....and add...tangs do like to slip in and out of the rockwork and hide....they are skiddish to a point, especially if new.....How small is this tang?

Its a 90gal tank, the warter is fine right now, I tested it like 3 weeks ago. Its a reef tank with some coral and some fish, nothing crazy right now. The fish is only like 2inches long, so its small.

Yikes...I would test the water ASAP. The tank is still young and not too stable. What else is in the tank?

I have about 5 peices of coral in there and about 5 fish. This is my second 90gal my other one is all fish and it has been going strong for 2 years now. This is just my first coral tank

What fish do you have? 2 months is still young.....you should be testing more often....how far in between did you add the fish?
AND if the tank is 2 months old....this means you added the tang when it was 5 weeks old

I mean 1 of my clowns got stuck to right when i put him in and now he is fine. So i thinking maybe he is just stressed out, like the first post said. Because hes just chillin in the rocks right now

I have had a few, my other tank when i added my royal gramma about a year it got stuck too. I have to 2 powerheads but i cant remember what kind. They give good water flow though for my coral.
