Hi,
I want to paint the back of my tank black... it is currently empty... Any suggestions as to the type of paint? Can't use spray paint... any help would be appreciated.

Well, I only did this once on a 10-gallon tank I was experimenting something in... did that about 1 year ago. Had some regular medium-blue oil-based gloss paint that I had lying around; that I'm sure was bought from home depot. Used that, looks very good ever since, no cracks or anything...
I say do the same :)

Oh yes... it was not a spray. Make sure you use a very soft brush, or else you'll have streaks and may need to paint couple times over... :)

speay pant will work but it is hard to get off once you get in on there so make sure that is the color you want. also leave a few days for it to completely dry and tap off the sides to elimate overspray as far as the top of the tank make sure it is well covered so that overspray does not get in the tank. I have painted all of my tanks and it works ,,,

I have heard of people using latex spray paint. I would agree with the other post about taping off the tank.
Let us know what you use and how it works!
