HE WHO? IM A GIRL!!! HAHAH
ANYWAYS, YES THAT IS THE FOOD I FEED IT. ITS NOT FROZEN, IT COMES IN A PLASTIC BOTTLE.
SO I WENT HOME AND TESTED LAST NIGHT. LOOKS LIKE THE NITRITES ALREADY DROPPED. I AM GETTING READY FOR A WATER CHANGE SOON ANYWAYS. I BELIEVE ON THURSDAY... THAT WILL BE ONE WEEK.

Gee we send all these posts and what happens? The tank takes care of itself :D . Glad the nitrItes dropped. I think you will find the with light feeding, nitrItes will remain at 0.0. Glad everything is well. I would also take it easy on the water changes. Now that everything is well, you would not want to change out (to exaggerate) 98% of the water. I just replace the water that evaporates, but a very small water change should not bother anything.

Regular water changes (5% -10%) in a 10g tank will help keep the nitrates down and your fish happy.

OK :) glad you all know I am a she now! hahah
Yeah, when I tested last night it was a funny color. If it is a nice clear pastel blue then they are at zero. Then if it goes to purple they are at .25. Well last night it was in between the two.. so I believe it was a drop. I will continue to watch it and feed lightly.
Thanks guys for all your good advice!
And when I change the water out I do only 2 gallons in my ten gallon tank. is that too much????
;)

IMO, small water changes more often is better than large water changes less often. You will find people that do it both ways and some that do no water changes. W/O corals in your tank I would say what ever works to keep your nitrates down.
