Question on open brain

I have a green and a red open brain.My question is when the tissue on them get real big does this mean they're feeding or are they just real happy? What salinity should corals be in?

when they are feeding the tenticles come out and the mouth opens so its not that. they tend to change shape and inflation quite a bit. Like all corals sp grav should be between 1.023-1.026.
about as small as it gets. early in the day/late evening. normal

swelled like this normal/happy most of the daytime hours

swelled like this usually due to some stressful situation like water change ect. this stemmed from the power being out for two days. doesn't swell like this very frequently.

Mine looks like your first pictures,what do you keep your calcium level?

then it looks normal/happy. I keep calcium in the 400-440ppm range.
