Question On Refugium Lighting

I have had my refugium running for about 7 weeks now. The alega has trippled. When i first bought the alga it would only cover a portion of the refuigum. Now 7 weeks later the alge has trippled in size and covers the bottom of the mud and all the way to the top of the tank. there are lots of stalks and bubbles on the stalks. In the alge are tiny shrimp. I leave the light on 24/7, should i now switch to reverse timing? What are the benifits of reverse timing? please advise

from how I understand, reverse timming will help the pH from dropping lower when the lights are off. I am going to start a fuge when I get moved so it will be all new to me also..

I run mine light on my fuge 24/7....sounds like you have Grape Caulerpa, I fine macro for a fuge but if its filling up then trim/thin it back to about half so it does not go sexual where it releases reprodutive products that can be toxic to a small system....it turns clear when this happens,
normally happens when it gets crowded for space or not all getting light from being shaded from the top growth....a survival thing...a reverse schedule is OK too I guess.

some of the bubbles that are growing on the stalk appear to be clear and the majority of them are green. does this sound bad. when i trim the algea what should i do with the stuff i trim?
