Question regarding Clown Behavior

We have (2) false percs that have been together for a few months. Recently the larger female has been "shoving" the much smaller male around. The past two nights, the male has jumped back into the sump. I have to net him out in the morning. He is also hanging around a back corner, under some xenia. Both are eating great...and do not appear harmed by the pushing and shoving.
Ok...here is my question. Is this "nesting" behavior? or is this something else???

If the Female is actively removing the male then she is rejecting him as a mate.
This is rare for Ocellaris but not unheard of.

That's kinda funny..she kicked him out of the tank.....wonder if there was some late nite action on the side going on there??
