Question - starfish reproduction

I have at least 10 very very little starfish that appeared on my tank walls today. They are about the size of big grain of coral sand. I had 2 sand sifting starfish. One died about 3 months ago and I haven't seen the other one for about 6 weeks (I assume it died). I still don't see the adult sand sifter. Is this possible? I tried to take a good picture but wasn't able.

Google 'asterina starfish' and see if that is what they are.
They can reproduce really really fast. and they can sometimes take over quickly. I don't have that issue though. I just leave mine alone. People always say to remove them but really... I don't see the harm in having them. They usually die off anyway.
