Not surprised its extruded. No worries it will work but is a bit brittle and you must be careful drilling holes in it. Is this 1/8" wall? Great deals......
I think I've bookmarked 3-4 from this thread! Thanks a bunch!

I'm going to make a DIY Ca reactor, recirc protein skimmer and phosphate reactor. :D :D
I think I'm going to go with all acrylic work. If it turns out, I'll post pics of all the steps.
Where did you get the acrylic tubing from?

So, did you all figure out that you could use weld on #16 or not, connecting PVC to Acrylic? I'm curious now.
YES you can. I tried it out with a test piece. I then drilled a hole in each side. It is now holding up a 20lb Weight from a rack in my garage.
It took 3hrs to really fuse But it does work.
BTW It will not wipe up off of wood floors It leaves a stain. So I would advise do it in the garage.

So I went to the hardware store. And now I had to revamp the whole situation. I now had to move up to a 4" PVC. Here is a Pics of the Parts. Its not clear but hey if I can get it to provide calcium.
So I will be creating a DIY on the CA reactor.

Mine pc is still in the clamp. But I glued a pipe on a sheet of acrylic so I'll fill the pipe and see if it holds water. I'm sure it will....

Well the issue that I had was that the OD of the acrylic was 3 1/4 and not 3 1/2 so I could not fit it on to the PVC.

But oh well after I am done it should be nice.

Bummer. Well in any case my test pcs are bomded and water tight. Haven't given a full force bust up. So we'll see.......

The only thing that I see wrong with this is that you can not replace your media every once in awhile. Why didn't you opt for a female or male adaptor on one end so you can scr-ew off the lid to get to the media?
