I'm bout 2 get a 55 gallon and i was wonderin what all i need???i already got sand and a test kit..

youll need a filter (emperor 400 should be fine), and youll probably want a sump. depending on if its gonna be fowlr, reef, or agressive will depend on what else you need. i would suggest lr and/or some base rock mixed in. you will obviously need salt, and all the other tank starting basics. also need a hood, lights, a hydrometer, etc. kinda need some more info on this one. bo

That is a really really wide open question..one that whole books are written on! I would suggest reading some books or at least some web resources. I can provide a couple links that will at least go over all the basic theories. First, try the FINS resource, it's pretty well written and a good place to go for thinking through ideas. link: http://www.actwin.com/fish/index.php
