question

i have 5 hermit crabs (red) and about 10lb of live rock as of today. i saw the hermit crabs (red) eating something off of my live rocks. is that good? the live rocks are fiji rocks. are the hermits harmful to them? what exactly do a tiny red hermit crab eat anyway? are they live rock safe and coral safe( dont have any corals in yet)?

what does the thing look like that your hermits are eating. More then likely it's just some sort of algea and that is ok, that's what they are supposed to do. I recieved 25 of them a couple days ago and they are going crazy on the algea!
