I f you only have fish with LR N LS do you need RO ? if you use media to remove phosphate ,ammonia,carbon , feed less and 8 hours of light and a good filter and protain skimmer you should be ok ????????
I 'm going nuts on that issue what should I do ?
buy ro water or use tap water and be careful ?

RO water is simply a staple that many of us will not do without.
Repeat after me:
Tap water is Evil
Some folks do get away with it, but I'd be contacting my city to find out just how clean the water really is, then Id go check out the post where it shows the dirty filters from the RO unit, that right there should convince you.
Got copper pipes?

I am sure that your tap water holds alot more then what your tanks filtration system can remove. From an article I read, I believe that the dissolved metals in the water most likely will not get picked up by your filter media. It also does not evaporate with the water, so ends up becoming a concentrate in your tank. Not good from what I understand.
I am still a noob at this, so I hope I got it right.
