I bought a bunch of ricordia that all shriveled up and detached from the rock and floated away. I was later told that I did not acclimate properly. From what I've been told and read since then, ricordias need to be acclimated differently from other basic corals. You might what to research that a little. Yours sounds like it's doing the same thing mine did. Hopefully yours don't turn out like mine, dead.

You can also take a piece of net, and tie it to a rock...in a week it should be attached...
I did not acclimate any of my rics differently...I have had a few floaties too though...LOL

Mine took about three days to attach. I aclimated them the same as my fish, slowly. Just put them in a place where there is minimal flow and hermits and snails can't knock them around.

Good luck to you sir.

I would put it into a little container of rubble rock to contain it. It should attach to piece of the rubble and then you can super glue that to a larger rock or fix it however you like to your rocks. I've rubber banded my rics in the past without problems. Sometimes they stayed sometimes they didnt!
