Ok, I bought a used 150 gal. RR tank from my LFS that was going out of business. I got the tank, stand, Canopy, Smartlite with 2 - 55 watt PC's, 100 lbs. Black sand, 150 lbs. Bleached coral, Wet/Dry filter with 2 intakes, Sealife protien skimmer with 2100 Rio pump, Return pump Rio 3100, 8 watt UV steriolizer Rio 2500 running to steriolizer, and Rio 600 pump. I paied $500
1. The question is should I use the UV? It will be a FOWLR.
2. They had the Rio 3100 as a return pump, along with the 2500 after it goes through the UV steriolizer. They come together with a Tee right under the tank. This way both pumps have to be on, or it will pump back to the sump through whichever pump is off. Should I take off the Tee, and only use the Rio 3100, and if I do this will this pump be enough GPH for a 150?
3. I put the tank into the wall this weekend, I will post pics of before and after later tonight.
