i have just bought a DAS 90 gallon aquarium. It came with 2- 48" 10000K bulbs and 1 - 24" actinic, they are all NO lights.it is 2' deep, and would like to know how much more lighting i need to keep some nice soft corals.i dont want clams or any hard corals.i do want to keep a varried array of soft corals with enough lighting that keeps them strong and healthy.if you can provide links to anything that would be great.

I agree, you'll need halides for a tank that deep. My 90 runs with 2x250w 10k halides and 2x110w actinics.

No you dont need halids for a 24" deep tank!
you could keep most corals by just getting a PC
the corals you wouldnt be able to keep would be SPS corals and probably clams!
other then that you would be find to keep softies, lps and anenome's

The halide setup would allow you to keep light demamding corals. Or if you want to use VHO or PC in a 90 I would recommend for soft corals and LPS at least 48" 4x110watts VHO (440W total) or TWO 48" power compact 4x65 (520W total) and for SPS 48" 6x110watts VHO (660W total) or THREE 48" power compact 4x65 (780W total)
