questions on new tank

I'm new to reef tanks and have a few questions. I have 75 gallon tank with about 40 pounds of live rock and plan on getting more. What else would be good to start off with. That would be good for a newcomer.

I am in the process of converting my Fowlr to a reef. Besides getting more LR, you should deffinitly get lighting. Metal Halides are the best, but because of the pricing many people go with VHO's or PC's. And you may want to get a protein skimmer and a refugium. But, if your a low maintenance type of guy such as myself, I'd say deffinitly go with the lighting and more LR, and then take your time with buying the rest. Just make sure your water params are good and your lighting s good and you ll be fine.

I would definitely recommend a good protein skimmer. The lights are also very important. You probably want to be somewhere around 5 watts per gallon. Pristine water parameters are also a must. What kind of filtration do you have?
