Hello all... Just bought myself a CC star for my FOWLR tank. One quick question. Should i worry about the star knocking over any of the rock??? Moreso than Hermits, snails, fish, etc??
Thanks!!

My CC dosen't knock my LR around. He does move the LR rubble around a little bit. Do watch him with snails. He leaves my large mex. turbos alone but he has made a meal of 3 smaller snails.

They are little bulldozers.......make sure EVERYTHING in tank is secure. Including pumps, thermometers, etc. They are fun to watch, but very busy in the tank. :happyfish

spotfeed him a chunk of uncooked frozen shrimp every once in a while and he shouldn't bother your snails.
Mine never bothered my rock

Definitely diversify the diet (krill, squid, algae sheets, etc, etc) but nothing will totally prevent them from doing what comes naturally. They may be fine for years, but it is a definite risk to snails and any other slow moving invert.

very true. but i wouldn't worry about losing a couple of snails over the next few years because snails are cheap.
mine was worth it. if he starts eating snails and you don't like it, you can trade him in.
