quick lighting question (actinic)

I have a 30" light fixture that came with my 29g that has a crappy old light in it, I was curious if I get a 30" actinic bulb if it would work in it. The light is just a standard one taht came with a hood in the setup. (used) I really want a seperate actinic light cuz right now mine is a 50/50

Yea it will run in there. But you just want to run an Actinic? Without any white light? Remember, actinic is just the light phase the bulb is running at.

i have a white light already, btu i want one that i can run as actinic only. thanks!
