QUICK live rock in wetdry question

i just got some live rock for my wet dry and im going to replace the bio balls with it and is the live rock ok even though it wouldnt be completly submerged in water just being tickled on?

you can use live rock in the trickle section keep in mind without lighting the Coraline IS going to die off also any sponges that are air sensitive, you will still need to clean the LR in the wet dry section just like you do bio balls, the advantage is you can cram a lot more surface area in useign LR rubble.

not LR as in chunks fist sized I typed "Lr rubble" Honestly a nylon potscrubber has more surface area than a bio ball. and is cheaper. trust me on this LR rubble has more internal and external surface area than bio balls, I have a ton of research on this and am working on writing up an article on bio balls vs LR each has their beneficial use I think the best use for LR is completly submerged but that doesnt change the fact that LR is porus and bio balls are non porus plastic, not all the surface area on LR rubble is visible (its also damn near impossible to really calculate with any real accuracy) but I'm not ready to go full bore ahead with all my findings yet so think what you like.
