quick magnetic cleaning question....

can i use a mag float type cleaner that i ahve used 2 or 3 times months ago on a fresh water tank? i want to use it in my saltwater tank. i will clean it good. is this alright?

just as long as you didn't dose the FW tank with any serious medications like metyline blue or formaldahyde you should be fine if you wash it good. (no soap) bleach it if you like then dechlorinate it.
you dont have to worry about diease or parasites from your freshwater as they almost never jump Phylum.

I don't see why not. Just wash it in your salt water first, use the water you take out when you do your water changes. Just make sure you are using the correct magnetic cleaner. Don't use it if your feshwater is glass and your salt is acrylic. :scared:

its been sitting dry or a long time. i dont think i put any chemicals in. only waste remover. and rid ich but i think i put that in before i stopped using the magnet in the tank. but what is formaldahyde? i may have used it but im not sure.

formaldahyde is a key ingredient in lots of ich medications. (its what we use to preseve dead bodies and its hard on microbial life and invertabretes)

oh ok. well i cleaned my tank with it and im just leaving it sticking on the tank. im almost positve i havent used the magnet after i treated
