quick pulsing xania question

Now theses corals are really easy to care for correct?
because i was told of someone who claims they are hard to keep and would be dead in a few months. Is this true?
i ordered some and they will be going under dual 250HQI MH you think they will do alright?

I can't keep them. Tried three times now. Everything else does great in my tank except Xenia for some reason. Some paople will say they are easy, and some they are hard. It just depends on your tank. Everything in my tank checks out great but they just will not live. You will know within a few days if they are going to thrive in your tank.

I just recentley got some my self for christmas,have them unders 3 x 250 HQI DE 10000K in a 210 about middle of the tank with some nice flow over them and there doing great.I ve heard both there hard to keep and easy to keep.Hope this helps.

i agree exept i have some and they are growing like crazy and and they are one of the easiest corols to take care of.

apparently noone read my CRAZY TEST thread. anyways...its not that they are hard to take care of..IMO, its geting them used to your enviornment that is the hard part. find my thread...read it...then try it. and you will see something totally crazy! they will sprout right back to life.

I got a frag of them about a week or two ago and they are splitting already on to another rock. Everything I have read says they grow like weeds and nearly impossible to kill, but I have also heard that some people cannot keep them alive. Give them a shot, they are cheap and add a lot of character to your tank in my opinion.

i ordered some online which were aquacultured, will they adjust faster and have a bettr chance of living then the wild ones.
also they are the ones from the red sea, are these harder to care for ?

well you rubbed yours on a RBTA do you think the same would happen with a BTA?
because i dont have a rose only a normal one.

i don't know...my LFS has donated to my friends and i 5 differant species of anemones. i am letting the xenias sit for 3 weeks to see if they come back. after these 3 weeks are up, we are going to start brushing the differant anemones to them and see what happens.

FROM WHAT I HEARD THE AQUACULTURED ONES DONT PULSE AS MUCH AS THE WILD CAUGHT. I BOUGHT ONE STALK ABOUT A YEAR AGO AND FRAGGED PROBABLY 25 STALKS SINCE THEN.

i have only had mine in my tank 2 weeks or so and already want to get rid of the thing it has split to about three large rocks now. really cool but with the new corals i want to get i think they are going to kill the xenia with their sweeper tentacles
