quick question about hypo

in your thread, you said over a 48 hour period to lower the salinity
is that "atleast 48 hours"
so if I did it in 72 hours it would be fine?

If your fish look like they are doing OK, then go for 72hours. If your fish aren't doing so well, I'd try to do it in 48hours.

It's not necessary to prolong the process of lowering the salinity. It can actually be done faster in "hurry cases". 48 hours is fine, but if you want to go 72, you're delaying the treatment by a day. Fish can tolerate a rather rapid reduction in salinity, but need a longer acclimation when you raise it.
