I know that fungus is very rare in sw fish, but lets just say that if somehow a SW fish did get fungus, how do you treat it?
I don't have any fish with symptoms of fungus, I was just curious coz u don't seem to find any information on the Disease chart in the archives telling u how to deal with fungus.
thanks

You don't hear or read about fungal infections because it rarely happens. Most fungal infections are the result of neglect. Infections become fungal after the fish has suffered for a great deal of time. It is a compound infection. It would be treated with Maracyn 2 for SW fish.

First, the infection comes from a bacterial infection that was left untreated. Yes, it would infect other fish if they have a weakened immune system. It will kill the fish that has been left to suffer for so long that the bacterial infection becomes fungal.
