i had 20lb of live sand in my tank at first, then about 3 days later i bought 30lb of dead sand and mix them together in the tank. I wonder if my live sand will die being under the dead sand (i was just trying to seed them). Both sand look the same, they are very fine crushed corals i believe, its just one is live and one is not.
