My question is is that enough light for a long tenacle anename.

Nowhere near enough. Anyone tells you different is not telling the truth. Anemone success is messured in YEARS not days or months.

sorta wondering what people did with anenomes before metal halides...
i'm not going to tell you it will work for you, i'm not going to tell you it won't. if you want to take the chance find out if your LFS will take it back if things dont work out.
