I have a 5 stage...
The more filters the water goes through the more pure the water.

hey i got this picture from the attached thread and i seen this flow restrictor thing in the drawing and wondered what that would do... would this force the unit to be more productive and waste less water???
right now i live in an apartment that pays for the water so i dont care that the production percentage is so low...
... but i plan on moving and when i have to pay for my own water it will make a difference...
Not to sure But my waste is easily double than my output. I am not to sure what would happen if I removed it. I am going to order a two stage di system frome these guyz online. Its like 80 bucks shipped.

lol... sorry... i haven't heard of the 2 stage di systems... i would think the more stages the better the water quality...
