All is well... Back to my own firm, 2 daughters are great... Enjoying life.
I don't have fish anymore, besides my oldest's 35 gallon freshwater tank.
How is everything? Looks pretty much the same around here...

Yeah, nothing changes here.
Solo act now? That can be good and bad LOL!
My wife had left the firm she worked for in 2006 to take a gofer position in a litigation coordination subsidiary of a big insurance co. She had topped out where she was as a paralegal and was bored with the job. That was the downside. It was like family there. But now she's been moved up to risk analyst, has just bout doubled her salary and has a lot of room for advancement. Interesting trade off but I think it's been worth it.

Awww Darth... I don't know if I'm ready for a long term commitment at this point but it's nice to see you too buttercup... You still a gun-toting, wild Texas conservative? Does the wifey miss me? Just playin... :hi:
Reef... Going back to solo was a good call for me. I spent over 5 years making money for my firm and getting promised things that just weren't going to happen. So I took my ball and went home... Errr clients I mean. I took a nice handful of the firm's clients with me and walked. It was the best thing as now it's so much easier to be there when my girls need me. Besides, I still have minor problems with authoritae... ;)
So after 5 years of political debate, someone has to have convinced the other that you're right and they are wrong. All that energy devoted so obviously lots of people must have turned to the other side... Riiiiiiggghhhtttttt... :rotfl:

Darth and Reef won't believe it, but I honestly don't care whose in control in Washington. Congress is who really holds the cards in that town, and the corruption, back-stabbing, and back-door dealings in the House and Senate will continue no matter if Obama or Romney wins. I actually agree with a lot of their philosophies, but what fun is it to sit around and agree with one another? I get on a couple of other political forums, and the talk is so one-sided that it's pointless to argue with them. But I do it anyways because it's so much fun to wind them up like a top, then sit back and watch them spin...

The guy my wife started out working for at the law firm ventured out on his own bout 12 years ago. He did really well but also schemed and plotted for about 3 years before the move to insure he'd be successful, not that that's a bad thing lol!

Back around 2000 I read a study that said for every person that posted online there were about 9 readers. Don't know if that applies here but this is fun because of the back and forth. I spend most of my time on the Denver Post and USA Today sites. There's so many posters there trying to go back and forth would be a full time job.
