I had used the Mag pumps for yerars in both my Salt Water tank and outdoor pond. I have switched to the Quiet One brand. Two reasons, quieter, cheaper to run and in most cases less expensive to buy. As of today I have 3 Quiet Ones running and two Mag's and will switch to the Quiet One's when the 2 Mag's need replaced.
Give one a try!

preferably internal but i have been thinking of putting a bulck head in the side of my sump for an external to make more room in the sump.

I'm with the Quiet One on this. Lots cheaper to run, and they truly do run without a sound, and thats out of the tank. In the tank, you never will know its on unless you look.

I just got a quite one 4000 for my 65. My LFS swears by them as well. For the price and reliability. Seems like a sturdy well built pump. I paidaround $68 with shipping from a web auction site.

i have the 4000 for a 65 just make sure you can drain into your sump as fast as you can pump. or you might have to throttle back a bit.
