It would depend on how much stuff is in your water. If you have a lot of disolved solids on your source water then the filters could last much less than a year. Do you have a TDS meter? If so, what is the TDS of your source water?

NO. this just means they wont break in under a year it doesnt mean they can filter for a year. they filter X amount of gallons. depending on the type and amount of dissolved solids and other pollutants in your water. the only way to know for sure is to have TDS measured either through an indepoendant test or get a meter for yourself. the easiest way is to go by the manufacturers reccomendations.
